It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Venesha Ann Bowser on March 7, 2013. Born January 11, 1942 in Advocate Harbour, N.S., to the late Harland S. Hughes and Gwendolyn (Elliott) (Hughes) Gordon. She moved to Prince George in 1968 with her husband. She worked for Northwood and Canfor Forest Products for 40 years until fully retiring in 2008. She enjoyed camping, traveling, sewing, doing crafts and reading. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Larry Bowser, a sister LeEtta (Robert) MacPherson of Amherst, N.S., a niece Elizabeth MacPherson, a great niece Kenzie MacPherson Helders, London, Ont., sister-in-law Sheila Bowser, Barry, Ont., one aunt Myrtle Hughes of New Glasgow, N.S., and several cousins. Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her mother and father-in-laws Faye and Russell Bowser, brother-in-law Terry Bowser and step-father Frank Gordon. Following her wishes she has been cremated and there will be no visitation or service. Burial will be at a later date in Nova Scotia. Donations can be made to the S.P.C.A., Prince George, Heart and Stroke, B.C., or a charity of your choice.
