Marilyn Helen Juds May 15, 1926 -March 8, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Marilyn Helen Juds. On the morning of March 8th we sat at mom's side until the Lord took her home. Left to mourn her passing are Bill Juds, her former spouse and great friend, her daughter Gwen, son Kevin, and his wife Agnes, the six grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, Mark, Machaela, Madilyn and Madisyn as well as many colleagues and friends. Our mother was born in Los Angeles, California as an only child to Albert and Mary-Ann Meyers. Growing up, she received a lot of attention and advantages as her parents taught her to be self-reliant. Marilyn became a strong and determined woman who always accomplished her goals. She earned her BA in English from UCLA and an MA in Education from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA and taught elementary and junior secondary school in California and Prince George alike. Her profession afforded us great memories as we spent our childhood at the beach, hiking in the mountains, and playing lots of tennis; our mother's favorite sport. After taking early retirement here in Prince George she began teaching English in China. Mom taught at various universities all over China and traveled there extensively for over 25 years. She always returned to Prince George for the summers. When mom combined her passion for teaching and her great love for China, she estimated that this was the highlight of her professional career. She lived a very blessed and abundant life. Surely she touched all who knew her. Marilyn will be deeply missed; but our sadness is mixed with the joy of knowing she is in a better place. Please join us for a celebration of her life at Gateway Christian Fellowship on Saturday, March 16th 2013 at 11:00 am.
