Leo Hirschberg passed away on September 22, 2012 with his children by his side. Born in 1932, Leo was an adventurer who left his home in Germany in the 50's, travelling throughout BC, the Yukon, Alaska, the U.S. and Mexico before settling in Prince George. He married his wife Brigitte in 1966. Both were part of the Rheingold Club for many years, and stayed strongly connected to their German roots. Leo loved his Tim's coffee, the outdoors, fishing, airplanes and of course, travel. Predeceased by Brigitte in 2001, he is survived by son Andre, daughter Sonya, and numerous family in Germany. Thanks to everyone at Simon Fraser Lodge for their kindness and care over the past 12 years.
