OLESEN, KARL ERIK : Born August 18, 1954 in Prince George, BC, passed away in Williams Lake, BC, on August 21, 2012. He leaves behind to mourn, his loving parents, Agner and Alice Olesen, his brothers Allan and Harry, his sister Linda and his two nieces, Candace and Sandra. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins in Prince George, on Vancouver Island, in Ontario and in Denmark. Karl excelled as a carpenter and cabinet maker and he began working for Crest Homes in the late '70s which led him to Houston, BC. He started Karl's Custom Woodworking, but his passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles led him to become a motorcycle mechanic. Karl owned Krazy Dad's Hawg Shop in Houston for many years before moving the business to Kamloops, BC. Unfortunately, shortly after the move, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which wreaked havoc on his ability to physically do the mechanical work. He focused on parts and sales and verbally passed his knowledge on to several apprentice mechanics. In December 2011, he downsized his business and moved to Williams Lake. Karl had many friends in Houston, Prince George, Kamloops and Williams Lake. Special thanks to Jonas Scheffler for welcoming Karl into your home in Williams Lake. We would also like to say thank you to all the Doctors and Specialists for their continued care of Karl during his illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at 3590 Dufferin Avenue, Prince George, BC. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson Society BC or the charity of your choice.
