Benton, Gordon It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Benton on October 21, 2012 in Mackenzie, BC. Gordon was born on June 4, 1952 in Kimberley, BC. He travelled the world at a young age and eventually settled in Mackenzie BC. Gordon married his life-long partner and wife Jaquline (Jackie) in 1976. They shared over 35 years together in Mackenzie. Gordon travelled and worked throughout Northern BC in various towns, he worked for Mackenzie Redi Mix and Sonic Concrete in the cement industry for many years. Gordon loved to ski, garden, golf, and do work projects on their home. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need and would do so with a big smile. He had an awesome sense of humour and full boisterous laugh. He is survived by his loving wife Jaquline (Jackie), sister Barb (Ron) Ball, brother Jim (Pat) Benton, sister-in-laws Maryann (Tom) Datt, Terry (Wayne) Hockley, brother-in-law Jamie Hargreaves, various nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. He will be very fondly remembered and very sadly missed by all who knew him. Please join in a celebration of Gordon's life on Saturday October 27th, 3:00 p.m. at the Catholic Church basement. Lunch to follow. Guest book Tributes and Condolences can be made at www.assmanfuneralchapel.com
