George M. Creuzot : September 12, 1917 ( Alsask, SK) February 13, 2013 (Vernon, BC) It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable father, grandfather and great grandfather, George Creuzot, in Vernon BC. George was preceded in death by Ruth, his wife of 60 years, his granddaughter, Lindsay Wiseman, and his daughter-in-law, Jody Creuzot. He leaves behind all those who were blessed to have been part of his life. His children Elaine (Frank) Marty, Art (Alana)Creuzot, Margaret (David)Wiseman, Vic Creuzot and Nola Creuzot (Lorne Vallentgoed). His twelve grandchildren, each who held a special place in his heart, as well as his 28 great grandchildren who all had a welcome spot on his lap. He is survived by his siblings Henry(Esther)Creuzot , Marjorie Gribling and Shirley (Bruno)Shelest to whom he was a devoted brother. He had many meaningful friendships that remained across distance and time. Whether you were his family, his friend, or someone he encountered along the way, you would have been touched by his gentle sense of humor and his wise words. In 1951 George moved his family from Kelowna to Prince George with the dream of starting his own construction company. He established Central Contractors Ltd in 1952, which began a long, industrious career in the housing and development industry in BC, particularly in the Central Interior. His knowledge and influence was key in the development of much of Prince George in the early years. He was a founding member of the Prince George Construction Association, the Prince George Home Builders and the BC Council of Home Builders as well as an Honorary Lifetime Member of all three. Although George's career brought him a deep sense of pride, he felt his greatest accomplishment was his family. Through his family, his legacy will live on. Please join us in celebrating the life of an extraordinary man. A Service for George will be held at the Westwood Mennonite Brethren Church â€" 2658 Ospika Blvd, Prince George on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1pm with a memorial tea to immediately follow.
