A former RCMP officer of many years, Dan gave much to the communities in which he lived and served. In 1994, Dan went on to develop a police detachment in Klemtu, BC, which was of great benefit to the village. He is remembered fondly by that community at this time. Dan was known for his wit and sense of humour. His friends and family will deeply miss his generosity and quirky perspective on life. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Lakewood Alliance Church.
